Family walks - get off on the right foot
Walking is the best way to discover the mountains. And an opportunity for the whole family, from the youngest to the oldest, to explore the treasures of these exceptional surroundings - mountain flowers, wildlife and the history of our planet.
You don't have to be a mountaineer or an experienced walker to savour all the joys of the mountain. And although sports are the guiding spirits of the Pays du Mont, it is also a land of gentle paths, mountain pastures, flower-decked meadows and friendly villages and hamlets. Walking as a family is problem-free because everyone here on every level shares your love of the mountains! Try Nordic or Afghan walking or push your babies in their prams along the special paths and remember that some high altitude paths can be reached very easily via the Mont-Blanc Tram, the Montenvers train and ski lifts. You can take your whole family to the gateways of this extraordinary universe. Ibexes, chamois, eagles will be watching your progress. And, quietly, you will be observing them too, comfortably settled in a mountain pasture facing the Drus or the Mer de Glace! Panoramic mountain views without effort. The children will want to come back and the seniors will be delighted with the outing. Happy families!
