From off-trail to freeride : free radicals

The most beautiful images of natural or extreme skiing often have Pays du Mont-Blanc mountains in the background.
It is not by chance that lovers of the Great Outdoors and the top off-trail and freeride specialists live here.

All "Off-Trail" skiing and boarding images show you how much fun adventures like signing virgin slopes with your tracks and gently riding the snow in a hidden valley can be! Going with a guide is by far the best way to discover unsuspected pleasures and famous spots like the Vallée Blanche and the Pas du Chèvre. Guides will start by teaching you techniques to make the most of uniquely magical moments when you feel alone in the world. No noise, just the swish of your skis gliding over light, fluffy, snow. Your guide will take you to places you never even dreamt exist.

No limit! Mont-Blanc spots are "world references" at all altitudes. There are slopes of all angles and lengths - the most difficult thing is to choose. Let your skis or board find the line - straight down! Learn or aim for the skies with hell-bent gliders and riders from all over the world, check out the best gear and spend the evening in a cosy den yarning the night away with your head full of swoops. That's the freeride spirit!

But take care; although off-trail is fun and seems super cool in the films and photos, freeride is seriously tough!
You need to be able to glide or ride extremely well and know a lot about the mountains to stay safe. Start by learning everything the pros can teach you. Once they say you can go solo, never forget the gear you absolutely must take with you like probes, shovels and arvas (avalanche rescue radios). Be aware, remember the advice and always treat mountains with great respect and humility.
